Anguilla has a tropical climate and it's relatively warm to hot year-round. It has cooler periods from Dec–Mar and a hotter, muggy period from May–Oct. Temperature averages through summer are 31°C (88°F) day and 26°C (79f) night and winter 28°C (82°F) day and 23°C (73°F) night. Rainfall is irregular and not overly abundant (approximately 1000 mm/year) with the driest months Feb/March. When the rain comes it is usually in the form of a typical tropical weather pattern with storms most frequently between August and November. From June to November there is the risk of hurricanes, with greater probability from August to October. Typical water temperatures vary between 26°C(79°F) in summer and 29°C (84°F) in winter. Winds are somewhat consistent year-round (e.g., average between 14 to 16 knots) with peak averages around Nov/Dec and again in July.

Boat Cruising Season
The Anguilla cruising season is what is referred to as the ‘Caribbean season’: Nov–Apr. While winds are a factor year-round for the Caribbean, hurricane season is best avoided as the area is exceptionally exposed to typical hurricane paths.
Hurricane season runs from June through November with historically more storms between August and October.
